Jari Verbunt
Jari Verbunt is a PhD student at the departments of Human Biology and Medical Microbiology. His research bridges the microbiome and metabolic health, with a focus on microbiome-derived bacterial membrane vesicles and their contribution to impaired adipocyte function and the development of insulin resistance. In 2018 Jari received his BSc in molecular biology and biochemistry at Maastricht University. In 2020 he received his MSc in molecular mechanisms of disease at Radboud University after completion of research internships in medical microbiology and molecular virology.
