Lars Vliex is employed as a PhD-candidate at the Department of Human Biology. The main focus of his research is the potential of prebiotics supplementation to restore the gut microbiome and related metabolic parameters after antibiotics use. His research is mainly carried out in an in vivo clinical setting. In 2017, Lars received his BSc in Biomedical Sciences at Maastricht University. In 2019, he received his MSc in Biomedical Sciences at Maastricht University with a specialization in Nutrition, Physical Activity & Metabolism.
